Nintendrone goes Multi-Platform

by Kaizer on Sep.08, 2009, under Nintendo Exclusive

With a new major in communications, efforts have not only been revitalized in general, but ramped up in light of this decision. The Nintendrone is now an all-around gamer’s paradise, no longer home to only Nintendo-related news.

Tired of filler in your gaming blog? Having to sift through hours of content that has no relevance or interest to the common gamer such as yourself? Tired of people who can barely speak english, let alone type it out, telling you their opinions on such matters?

Well fret no more.

This is the ND game.

Captain Olimar, Joins the Fray

by Papatch on Jan.18, 2008, under Uncategorized

Our favorite Pikmin hero has made the cut for the 2008 blockbuster,
Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

He not only has all 5 Pikmin from the Pikmin series, he uses them in similar ways.

First, his standard B is Pluck.

He can pluck various pikmin from the ground beneath him.

Then, there’s the Pikmin throw ( His Side Special )

He throws the various Pikmin at the opponent.

Next, Pikmin Chain ( Up Special )

All the Pikmin plucked will fly out as a rope which will allow Olimar to use a tether recovery.

Final Smash
End of Day.

Similar to the Pikmin games, Olimar jumps into his ship and fly’s off into Space. Then various creatures from the Pikmin series will attack Olimar’s foes.

If you would like a more detailed report on Captain Olimar refer to Captain’s Olimar’s page, at Smashbros.com

On a side note, if you noticed I am not the regular Kaizer posting information on this site, I am the new writer for the Nintendrone, Papatch. I will be trying to update information on a daily basis, to keep all of the Nintendrone viewers up to date.

Dojo Weekly Summary (Nintendrone)

by Kaizer on Dec.22, 2007, under Uncategorized

Monday: “Co-op Events”
Events are playable with more than one person at a time now. Players will work on the same team and co-op event mode may contain many different events than those found in single player. We still don’t know how many events there are.
What we learned:

  • “This time, Event matches can be played in two-player mode!”
  • There are fewer events than in single player events.
  • Coin battles are back (+bills)
  • Co-op targetsmash confirmed.

Grade: A

Tuesday: “Mother: Porky’s Theme”, “Frigate Orpheon”
Mother gets some musical love and Metroid gets a stage. The music is oddly nostalgic. The stage has a hazard. It rotates around the parasite queen in her gigantic test tube thing, and occasionally gravity flips after power outages…really all this update did was make me want a Mario Galaxy stage and Ridley. At least as a boss.
What we learned:

  • “Prime” series has been acknowledged.
  • This game has a lot of Mother 3 crap. (Which is good.)

Grade: B

Wednesday: “Team Healer”
An item is revealed! Tuesday’s update had us gasping, because not only did we get an unusually lacking update, but it brought forth new strategy. Team Healer is basically this awesome orb that heals whoever gets hit by it. Quite handy in team mode.
What we learned:

  • Team Healers only appear in Team Battle.
  • The more damage you have, the more you get healed.
  • Still Red, Green, and Blue.

Grade: C

Thursday: “Kirby’s Special Moves”
Kirby’s neutral B move is shown off. If it weren’t for the awesome different forms they showed, and the giveaway of Dedede’s neutral B, this update would suck, thankfully, Sakurai has got that covered.
What we learned:

  • Multiple Kirby outfits.
  • Snake Kirby > You.
  • Dedede’s neutral B is inhale.

Grade: C

Friday: “Subspace Emissary Movie”
Awesome. Not only does this movie eerily sync (even the Japanese one) with the 300 trailer, but it somehow morphs recycled footage into fresh awesomesauce.
What we learned:

  • Bowser has a trophy gun.
  • Meta Knight and Ice Climbers team up in Subspace.
  • Lucas has a role in Subspace.
  • New Polygon Fighters/Wireframes are NOT Primids.

Grade: B

Serebii Crushes Brawl Roster Rumor

by Kaizer on Dec.14, 2007, under Uncategorized

Remember that Prima Guide leak?

Yeah.

Untrue.

Serebii has stated on a forum, which I won’t name due to possibility of floodular based death, that the roster is inaccurate.

Hey, I trust the guy.
